Physiotherapy
Long term solutions
Our passion lies in working with our clients to manage and rehabilitate injuries.
We strive to understand your injury and determine the cause of your problem rather than solely focusing on the symptoms.
Manual Therapy
Hamilton Physio & Rehab provides hands-on approach to benefit patients as per their needs. Manual therapy techniques are used after understanding the nature of condition by detailed and extensive examination. This may include deep tissue / myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilisation / manipulation amongst others. These techniques helps to soothe pain, increase range of movement, and restore biomechanical alignment problems.
Dry Needling
Also referred as acupuncture needles, dry needling involves the insertion of small acupuncture needles into specific trigger points to relieve muscle pain. Often combined with deep tissue massage to treat and disengage trigger points in muscle that contributes to acute and chronic pain. Research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, normalizes biochemical and electrical dysfunction of motor end plates, and facilitates an accelerated return to active rehabilitation. Our Physiotherapists are trained in the application of dry needling and are able to use it effectively on patients on whom its beneficial to use.
Exercise Therapy / Strength & Conditioning
Exercise Therapy is a regimen or plan of physical activities designed and prescribed for specific therapeutic goals, focusing more on improving strength, range of movement, and function. Depending on injury our exercise therapy protocols may include pilates, stretching, strengthening, and self treatment.
